The Kingdom, a Christians Domian…
There is a place specially prepared by God for His children… This place is called the
KINGDOM OF GOD!
“In those days came John the Baptist preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying; REPENT FOR THE KINGODM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND” (Matthew 3 vs 1)
Jesus said to “seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you” (Matthew 6 vs 33) and He even sent out the twelve disciples telling them to “go, preach saying, The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand .” (Matthew 10vs 7) He himself camein to Galilee preaching the Good News of the Kingdom of God (Mark 1 vs 14,15) John the Baptist and Jesus both preached the same message; THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND… IT IS HERE RIGHT NOW!!
The kingdom of God was in fact the only message that Jesus went around preaching and teaching about. Every Miracle, provision, act was carried out under the governance of the Kingdom of God and demnstrate to us all how we too can operate under this system. If you were to read the four Gospel accounts extensively you would find that Jesus told everyone about the good news found in the Kingdom of God; so if it was such an important focus and message from our Lord and Saviour, the very Son of God himself who we know through Scripture that He said or did nothing unless He heard the Father say it or do it, then why is so little available to the everyday person about the subject? I can safely say that the Kingdom of God in a believers life is the very foundation of everything that we should do and say. It encompasses everything that the Word of God reveals, both how to operate in it and also how not to.
Views from on High is all about getting greater understanding about the Kingdom of God together as a worldwide community of Believers. It is a place where you can comment on any post and can openly share your revelation and understanding on this most important of subjects. I don’t profess to know all there is about the Kingdom of God and I can almost guarantee that you don’t either, so let’s grow closer to God together gaining greater understanding about His Glorious Kingdom.
To see how valid a subject is for discussion you first have to assertain the importance of a subject. So just how important is the message and understanding of the Kingdom of God to a believer?
In Mark 1 vs 14-15 Jesus came into Galilee after being Baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit and then led into the wilderness where He was tempted by the devil. He came
“Preaching the gospel (the Good News) of the Kingdom of God, and saying THE TIME IS FULFILLED AND THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND (it si finally here); REPENT THEREFORE AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL (the good news).”
The very first thing we see here is that Mark remembers Jesus preaching was the fact that the Kingdom of God prophesied by Isaiah the prophet (Isaiah 9 vs 6, 7) hundreds of years earlier had been established and was now for the very first time operational in the earth through common man. Normally people who have important news tell that special news of most importance first… You don’t hear a weatherman tell you about the beautiful day you are having and then telling you that a hurricane is about to wreak havok in your city, NO he starts by telling you the important stuff, like RUN for your life! From this scripture and many more like it we also know that Jesus believed several things…
1… The Kingdom of God coming to earth was GOOD NEWS!
2… To operate in the Kingdom of God you must do something different than before (Repent, turn away from your old way of doing)
3… We need to believe the Good News, both that it is really Good News and that the Kingdom is real.
There would have been no point at all for Jesus to mention the Kingdom of God if we weren’t supposed to live our lives by the way the Kingdom operates. He wouldn’t have told us that we need to change (repent) and do things differently and He certainly wouldn’t have told us to believe in it. He later went on to instruct us to “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added (or given) unto you.” Matthew 6 vs 33. To Jesus there was no higher instruction to His believers because every other commandment was intricately part of the Kingdom of God. Every Promise God has ever made, every principal or foundational Spiritual “Law”(for want of a better word) only operates within the boundaries of the Governance of the Kingdom of God. God himself cannot and will not overstep the boundaries He set in place as they are perfect already.
Just like Jesus, every believer should make it his/her priority to seek God’s Kingdom and His way of doing and being right. The big question is can we as mere humans understand an infinite Omniscient God and His Kingdom? How can we presume to know how God’s Kingdom truly works and is it possible for us mere mortals to operate effectively and fully in His Kingdom?
The answer is simple and can be found in the Gospel of Mark 4 vs 11…
and He said to them, TO YOU HAS BEEN ENTRUSTED THE MYSTERY OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD, BUT FOR THOSE OUTSIDE EVERYTHING BECOMES A PARABLE.
So not only are we to know the good news of the Kingdom but He has entrusted or given over to us the very mysteries of the Kingdom FOR US TO KNOW. The hidden things, the very understandings that make the Kingdom of God operational in this earthly realm. He has not hidden it from us, but rather given it freely to us. For God to have given us this responsibility we must treat this matter with the highest importance and utmost respect. We should all have an understanding of the Kingdom so we can demonstrate through our lives the very Good News that the Kingdom of God is to us humans. We have been delivered out of the Kingdom of darkness (no understanding and hopelessness) and translated into the Kingdom of His dear Son. (Colossians 1 vs 13) therefore we no longer need to operate under the failing systems that the world and its rulers both satanic and human have tried to imprison us with. I will point out here that not all governments are bad per-say as God asks us to pray for them that they would implement Godly values and principals in the land. There is a new way of doing things that is foreign to our natural way of doing things.
I encourage you that you start seeing things differently now concerning the way you live life because everything you do will either build and establish the Kingdom of God in your life or it will detract and weaken its influence in your life.
As believers we should believe what our master did… THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND & IT IS GOOD!
